Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
Reports to: Teacher/Principal
Functions: To help the teacher provide a smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources materials.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with lunch, snack, and clean-up routines.
- Assists with wash-up and toilet routines.
- Assists the students in such tasks as putting on and taking off of outerwear, moving from room to room, using the restrooms, etc.
- Under supervision of a licensed teacher, prepares for classroom activities.
- Performs minor clerical work.
- Assists teachers with classroom activities.
- Assists teachers in duties relating to the supervision of student activities (assemblies, field trips.etc.)
- Participates in inservice training programs.
- Checks and records student attendance.
- Distributes and collects workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction.
- Collects and records collection of money.
- Reads to students, listens to students read, and participates in other forms of oral communication with students.
- Helps students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by teachers.
- Keeps bulletin boards and other classroom learning displays up to date.
- Operates equipment used in the classroom.
- Assists students in the library or media center.
- Move between and within various district offices and buildings.
- Carry on conversations in person and to communicate via telephone.

You will be required to submit evidence of a medical examination made by a physician of your choice and at your cost to include a negative TB test result before you are permitted to begin work. Both the medical examination and TB test result must be less than one (1) year old.
